Scott and I are off again!!  This time we go to Great Lakes, IL to celebrate as son Michael graduates with honors from Navy boot camp.  (He also got a promotion and now is an E-3.)  Life is good!!  Scott will return to run the store from the 6th to the 13th and then…sorry… but you’ll have to deal with me again!!

Need some help with the rent?  Remember that we do have a “finder’s fee” as a reward for your help in finding new vendors for the store.  If anyone rents a booth and mentions that you pointed them in our direction, you will receive rent credit to an amount equal to their monthly rent but not more than your monthly rent. (Maximum $100 credit).  See Bonnie or Scott for more details.

Toward the middle of August we will be changing the front display.  The one nearest the sales area will be “Fun in the Sun”.   If someone wants to change it while we’re gone, talk to the front counter staff. Linda #159 and crew made some changes in the Americana display to include the Klamath Kruise.  Thanks Linda and whomever helped her. The large window display was changed to a kitchen scene.  Thanks to Kathy #21 and Carol #135 for the change over. Also, a big thank you to Curtis #214 and Phyllis #16 for moving and setting up the Christmas room.  It really looks great!  Just a note here, the Christmas Room is available to all vendors to use, free of charge.  We have sold several items from the Christmas area, so if you have Christmas items, bring them in and make use of the room! (Please limit to Christmas items.)

Also for some of you who may be new to the store, the ‘Man Cave’ area near the KC Café is for all vendors to display “Man” related items. If you have any questions on the Christmas Room or the “Man Cave” just ask the staff.

I know I say this in most newsletters, but “Thank you” to all of you who make the time and effort to keep the store looking and feeling great.  Our customers really do appreciate having a clean, friendly place to shop.

The date of August 17, 2007 6:30 PM has been chosen for the Keeper’s Corner Bar-B-Que.  We have reserved Crest Park.  We will close the store at 5 that day so all of us can get where we need to be.  The store is supplying the hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments, table service, chips, and water or punch.  We are asking the vendors to bring a salad or dessert to share, outside games if you have any, and your own drinks of you do not want water or punch.  There is a flier in each file and some extras on the counter near the vendor boxes.  Please sign up on the sheet near the till so we can get enough fixins!!!

Well, hate to bring this up but…. Just a reminder that rent is due on the 1st, payable before the 10th and late with a $10.00 late charge beginning on the 11th of the month.

Also as a reminder, if you have a booth discount sale on your booth, make sure you let the front staff know when you take it off, so it can be removed from the list.  You may have discounts taken after your sale goes off if you neglect to let us know!!!

Reminders:
• Check the “Want List” from customers.
• Check the bulletin board for other information
• Correct tags are money in your pocket!!!! Check the till for no ID tags
• Missing items? Check the back of the sales area for a memo on where to look and who to see!!!

Scott’s Thoughts:  Not much room to talk this time.  Hope to see you at the barbeque. Bring your family.  I need to get ready for school will be starting soon.  Now is the time to get your booth ready for the big fall sales.  We have a big group (Oregon Loggers) coming on a bus on August 10.  Be sure you are ready. See you around the store.
